8/2/2022 – The big rating favourites in the open section of the Chennai Olympiad were held to a draw in Monday’s fourth round: Uzbekistan drew the United States thanks to a remarkable victory by Nodirbek Abdusattorov over Fabiano Caruana on top board. Meanwhile, five teams scored a fourth consecutive victory and are now sharing the lead — the most surprising member of this group is Israel, which beat the Netherlands on Monday. 7/28/2022 – The 15th edition of the Paleochora Open took place from the 17th to the 24th July on Crete. It is a tournament with a special atmosphere, which is one of the reasons why Irina Bulmaga likes to return to play in the small town which is about 70 km south of Chania.
