Fall Chess Classic: Yu Yangyi wins the last round and the tournament

11/11/2022 – With an Elo rating of 2718, Yu Yangyi (pictured) was the top seed in the strong Fall Chess Classic in Saint Louis and he lived up to this role: with a convincing final-round win against Grigoriy Oparin he finished with 6.5 points from 9 games (+4, =5, -0) and secured sole first place. Opening trap and repertoire recommendation

Laura Unuk becomes the brand ambassador of Ford Slovenia

11/9/2022 – IM Laura Unuk has been the best woman of her country, Slovenia for over seven years. She has won several Slovenia girls championships - Under-10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 from 2009 to 2017. She has also won a team Gold, individual Gold (2014) and Silver (2017) at European Under-18 Girls' Team. She is also the World Youth Under-16 (2014) and Under-18 Girls (2017) champion. The brand ambassador of Ferme Fashion and Huawei Slovenia also became the brand ambassador of Ford Slovenia. She was given a brand-new custom designed Ford Puma hybrid car which she calls Pumica (Baby Puma). Fall Chess Classic: Yu Yangyi leads with two rounds to go

11/9/2022 – The Fall Chess Classic is taking place at the Saint Louis Chess Club on November 2-10. Two 10-player round-robin tournaments, group A and group B, are being played concurrently. In the main group, second seed Yu Yangyi from China is in the sole lead with a 5/7 points. Yu scored consecutive wins in the last three rounds. 11/8/2022 – Last Thursday, the new season of the Austrian League started. Top favourite is the team of ASV Linz with Maxime Vachier-Lagrave on board one. However, the star-studded team had a somewhat rocky start and drew two of their first four matches, and now share third and fourth place. Lilit Mkrtchian (5) - How to surprise your opponent with the London System

11/7/2022 – The second last part of the series tackles Lilit's mindset a bit. With just five more rounds to go, the Armenian IM had the chance to at least qualify for the FIDE Women’s World Cup 2023. A total of 76 teams from 16 nations took part and competed for the titles in two age categories: 50+ and 65+.
