Tukmakov is a former top player of the end of the 20th century. His chess education was in the Ukrainian city of Odesa, where he still resides nowadays. 2/18/2024 – The Saint Louis Chess Club, U.S. Chess and Kasparov Chess Foundation announced the Saint Louis Chess Conference, which will bring together the leading voices in chess with chess educators, researchers and enthusiasts. The Saint Louis Chess Conference will be held October 24-26 at the Chase Park Plaza in Saint Louis, Missouri, and will feature leading keynote speakers including Maurice Ashley, Garry Kasparov and Judit Polgár.
6/15/2023 – The Kasparov Chess Foundation, in association with the European Chess Academy and the Trainers Commission of the European Chess Union, present the first European conference for chess trainers. The event will take place during the SuperUnited Rapid & Blitz tournament in Zagreb, the third stage of this year’s Grand Chess Tour.

The club proved to be perfect training grounds for three of the Young Stars. Garry Kasparov lead the session and was assisted by FIDE Senior Trainer Michael Khodarkovsky.
2/9/2022 – The Kasparov Chess Foundation organized the second annual KCF University Cup which was played on lichess.org and hosted on chessstream.com on the weekend of February 5 and 6, 2022.
