1/3/2023 – The Kasparov Chess Foundation (KCF) celebrated its 20th anniversary this year with a gala on November 16th. However, the gala event was not the last event of the year as there was one more work session left. 6/20/2022 – The Kasparov Chess Foundation (KCF) and Saint Louis Chess Club have been running the very successful Young Stars – Team USA program for the past six years. The club proved to be perfect training grounds for three of the Young Stars. Garry Kasparov lead the session and was assisted by FIDE Senior Trainer Michael Khodarkovsky.
2/9/2022 – The Kasparov Chess Foundation organized the second annual KCF University Cup which was played on lichess.org and hosted on chessstream.com on the weekend of February 5 and 6, 2022. 12/19/2020 – The KCF University Cup, which will take place online, February 6-7, 2021. The tournament is open to teams from colleges and universities from all over the world. 2/9/2020 – Last weekend saw some record-breaking numbers in both the Greater New York Scholastic and the Greater Chicago Scholastic chess tournaments. Held opposite Super Bowl weekend, the events attracted over 2000 students to duel over the black and white squares. 4/12/2018 – American Hikaru Nakamura, one of the world’s top chess Grandmasters, has shown his generosity by honouring a pledge he made earlier this year to assist two promising junior players from South Africa to further their chess careers. Hikaru identified the two young talents during his visit to South Africa in January while he was attending the South African Junior Chess Championships.
