Prusikin is a German chess grandmaster and a renowned chess coach, originally from Kharkiv, Ukraine, born on January 19, 1978. Alongside his playing career, he has always focused on chess teaching, making it a significant part of his professional life. He holds the title of FIDE Senior Trainer.

Michael Prusikin is one of Germany’s leading chess coaches and a highly respected grandmaster, known for his deep positional understanding and exceptional training methods.
Originally from Ukraine, he has lived in Germany for many years, where he has built a reputation as a coach of champions, working with many of the country’s top juniors and national team members. 5/29/2025 – Two classical victories marked the third round of the Norway Chess super-tournament in Stavanger. Fabiano Caruana continued his remarkable comeback by defeating Arjun Erigaisi with the white pieces, thus becoming the sole leader on 6 points. World champion Gukesh Dommaraju also collected a full 3 points after convincingly beating Hikaru Nakamura, bouncing back from a difficult start to the event.
