7/20/2025 – With a third consecutive win, Saleh Salem has taken the sole lead in the Biel Masters Triathlon. After defeating Vladimir Fedoseev, the Emirati grandmaster also beat Aravindh Chithambaram, who now shares second place with Fedoseev. In the Challengers, all games ended in draws, consolidating the lead of Nikolas Theodorou and Aram Hakobyan. 7/19/2025 – The first games of the Women's World Cup quarterfinals saw wins for Lei Tingjie and Humpy Koneru, who now lead their respective matches. Lei defeated Nana Dzagnidze in a game which saw the Georgian GM losing on time after a scoresheet miscount, while Humpy overcame Song Yuxin with the white pieces. Freestyle Chess Las Vegas: Aronian and Niemann reach the final

7/19/2025 – Hans Niemann and Levon Aronian advanced to the Grand Final of the Freestyle Chess Grand Slam in Las Vegas after winning their semifinal matches on Friday. Niemann defeated Fabiano Caruana in tiebreaks, while Aronian overcame Arjun Erigaisi in two classical games. In the lower bracket, Magnus Carlsen, Hikaru Nakamura, Wesley So and Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu stayed in contention for third place. 7/18/2025 – Day 2 of the Freestyle Chess Grand Slam in Las Vegas saw long and dramatic knockout matches in both brackets, with several encounters going all the way to blitz and Armageddon. Fabiano Caruana, Levon Aronian, Hans Niemann and Arjun Erigaisi advanced to the upper bracket semifinals, while Magnus Carlsen, Wesley So, Vincent Keymer and Leinier Dominguez stayed alive in the lower bracket. 7/17/2025 – After the second round of classical chess at the Biel Grandmaster Triathlon, Aravindh Chithambaram has taken the sole lead in the Masters. Despite being behind at times, he managed to beat Svane, while his rivals Fedoseev and Wojtaszek both ended their games with an unspectacular draw.
