Online chess - an ideal solution to keep on playing!

Hundreds of countries had to stop their chess club activities due to the lockdown.

ChessBase has the perfect solution to continue to play in your club and to get a reward for that! We sponsor attractive prizes, if you play a tournament on our playchess.com server with your club. Please read the rules on how to participate:

Play your club tournament online – and win a prize!

We would like to show an example, a club tournament organized by Luiza Marin of the Clubul de șah MM in Romania.

Marin has already organized some tournaments in our virtual rooms on the ChessBase server. She read about our article and quickly started a new competition that met all requirements to win a prize. 29 pupils of her chess club took part in a nine-round Swiss tournament and played over 100 games with a time-control of 5+3.

Luiza Marin sent the required cbv-file to Martin.Fischer@chessbase.com.

Here are all the played games:

The shortest game lasted 13 moves, while the longest took 87 moves.

Congratulations for winning the ChessBase 15 Online Club Package.

  • ChessBase 15 (as download)
  • A one year ChessBase premium account
  • A ChessBase online shop voucher worth €30

The chess club, and especially the kids, were very happy about the prizes and continue to play virtual tournaments on playchess.com.

Your club can also participate until 31st of May 2020. You know what to do now, so why not make it happen? Remember, a ChessBase account is necessary to participate in the blitz tournament and can be set up as a free 90-day test access at https://account.chessbase.com/en/create-account.
