A brilliant display by Wesley So

Wesley So is leading the overall standings table of the Meltwater Champions Chess Tour. The Filipino-born star finished fourth in the Magnus Carlsen Invitational after losing the match for third place against the world champion himself. Before that, however, he showed brilliant play during the preliminaries. This week, we’ll look at his victory over wunderkind Alireza Firouzja.

How did Wesley win from this position?

And a couple of studies. First, the one I set at the end of last week. White to play and draw.

The following study was published in Two hundred assorted problems. White to play and mate in two. Can you find the right sequence?
