Following the Tata Steel Masters, Praggnanandhaa Ramesbabu has moved into second place, while Gukesh and Nodirbek Abdusattorov follow closely behind. Other players who participated in the Wijk aan Zee event have also entered the leaderboard. With six circuit-eligible tournaments scheduled for February, the standings are expected to evolve in the coming weeks.

Ding Liren continues to lead the FIDE Circuit 2025, having accumulated 40.64 points in the world title match against Gukesh Dommaraju. However, following the conclusion of the Tata Steel Masters and Tata Steel Challengers, several players entered the race.
Praggnanandhaa Ramesbabu secured 25 points and moved into second place in the standings after his triumph in Tata Steel Masters 2025. He is closely followed by his compatriot, World Champion Gukesh D (22.37), and Nodirbek Abdusattorov (18.42).
The top finishers of the Tata Steel Challengers - Thai Dai Van Nguyen, Aydin Suleymanli and Erwin l'Ami - also made it to the leaderboard.
The race for a spot in the Candidates 2026 is gathering momentum, since as many as six tournaments counting towards the FIDE Circuit 2025 will be held in February.
