AlphaZero analyses, Kramnik explains

Kramnik analysed the games together with Deep Mind experts Ulrich Paquet and Nedad Tomasev. The Russian explains motifs and ideas in three instructive videos.

It is always interesting when a world champion explains the thoughts and ideas behind his moves — whether castling is allowed or not.

The idea of playing chess without castling, perhaps making the game more interesting, came from the DeepMind group, developers of AlphaZero. At the Dortmund Chess Festival this year, the idea was implemented with the participation of two former world champions — Vladimir Kramnik and Viswanathan Anand. The Indian star won the match.

In three instructive videos, Kramnik, together with Deep Mind experts Ulrich Paquet and Nedad Tomasev and press officer Patrick Zelberl, explains what went on in the games.
