The winner becomes the World Junior Champion, earns a prize of €3,000 and automatically receives the GM title (if not already a GM). The 2nd and 3rd placed players receive the IM title.
Players have 90 minutes to make 40 moves and then an additional 30 minutes for the rest of the game plus 30 seconds per move starting from move 1. No draw offers are allowed before move 30.
