Women’s Candidates Final - Live!

4/3/2023 – The 2023 Women’s Candidates Final is taking place in Chongqing (China) from March 29 to April 5. Chinese grandmasters Lei Tingjie and Tan Zhongyi face each other in a six-game classical chess match. The winner will receive €60,000 and the right to challenge the current women’s world champion, Ju Wenjun, for the title in July.

Game 5

The time control is 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game, with an increment of 30 seconds per move starting from move 1.

If the score is level after the standard games, after a new drawing of colours done immediately after the last standard game, four tie-break games shall be played with time control of 15 minutes for each player + 10 seconds increment per move, starting from move 1.
