GM Dorian Rogozenko's lecture tonight (Thursday) begins at 21:00h MET = 20:00h London and 3 p.m. NY on our Playchess.com server will be about Super-GM Victor Bologan, 21, from Modovia. Bologan will be playing at the Dortmund Super-GM next week, but he is not as well known as the other participants, especially in the West. Rogozenko writes:

"There are several reasons why I consider it interesting to deal with Victor Bologan in tonight's lecture. First of all he is the only participant who actively qualified for Dortmund. This means a lot for chess players – it's good when you have a sound name and you are invited directly, but it is more fair when you qualify. Secondly, I am a good friend of Victor. We both were born in Kishinev, Moldavia, and both had same trainer, Vecheslav Chebanenko. My idea is to present some of the best games from Bologan's practice, which contain a lot of creativity. I also want to show that many of his successes were first of all thanks to his character. He has a great fighting spirit, which helped him many times to win very strong tournaments.
