The right event for a nice chess evening!

First blitz tournament of the autumn series 2020

Mode, date and times, virtual venue

Teams of four, eight rounds Swiss, 3+2, October 21;

Registration at the latest 18.30 CEST on Wednesday.

Round 1: 20.00

Round 2: 20.15

Round 3: 20.30

Round 4: 20.45

Round 5: 21.00

Round 6: 21.15

Round 7: 21.30

Round 8: 21.45

The tournament will end around 22.00.

The respective round does not start before the specified time, but no later than three minutes after the end of the previous round.

The tournament will be played on playchess.com, in the virtual tournament room "Herbstserie". It can be accessed via the current client (part of the programs ChessBase 14 or 15, Fritz 16 or 17, Komodo 13 oder 14, (free download under http://download.chessbase.com/download/PlayChessV7Setup.exe ), under tournaments "Herbstserie 2020"

and via the webbrowser with the link https://play.chessbase.com/en/play?troom=Herbstserie.

It is important that you always play with the latest software version. Please check the client version under File – Program – Update to see if an update is available. When playing via the web browser, please "refresh" after entering the virtual game room with the shortcut Ctrl+F5.

Scoring + Prizes

In scoring, team points count most (2 for 2.5 points or more in a match, one for 2.0 board points in a match), then board points and finally Buchholz.

Prizes:

1st place: 90 minutes online training for the winning team with GM and ChessBase author Yannick Pelletier;

2nd place: Online blitz tournament for the winning team with GM and ChessBase author Nicholas Pert;

3rd place: 1 year ChessBase premium for the players of the team;

Place 4: 6 months ChessBase premium for the players of the team;

Place 5: 1 year subscription of the ChessBase Magazine for the club.

Registration:

Registration for the tournament must be made by email to Herbstserie@chessbase.com by 18.30 on 21 October at the latest.

The registration must contain the following information:

  • Name of the team;
  • Team captain, name and email address;
  • Ranking list of the registered four players with real names, PlayChess-Usernames (both details are mandatory) and (only if known) the FIDE-ID;

The eligibility to play is independent of the official eligibility to play. Passive members or guest players are admitted. These do not have to be marked separately.

Important:

To be able to play in the virtual tournament hall, an active ChessBase Premium membership is required.

Each team can purchase a package of six two-month memberships for € 49.90 in the shop.

Substitutes:

Substitute players are not allowed in this blitz tournament.
