In the previous episode of this series, we saw how a player sometimes manages to split the enemy position into two camps – and how you can exploit this, often by attacking the enemy king. In episode 8 of "Understanding before Moving" we will take another look at this topic.

But first a warm-up: In the position below we see that the
advanced pawn on e7 embarrasses Black, and we see that the black
pieces are chased to the edge of the board. With which formidable move did
