7/2/2021 – The "Torneo Magistral de Ajedrez" is a four player online knock-out rapid tournament, organised by the Spanish city of Leon. In the first semifinal Leinier Dominguez won against Women's World Champion Ju Wenjun. In the second semifinal Boris Gelfand will play against local grandmaster Jaime Santos. | Photo: Justin Kellar

Winning starts with what you know
The new version 18 offers completely new possibilities for chess training and analysis: playing style analysis, search for strategic themes, access to 6 billion Lichess games, player preparation by matching Lichess games, download Chess.com games with built-in API, built-in cloud engine and much more.

Leinier Domínguez convincingly won the four-game mini-match against Ju Wenjun. Dominguez, who was born in Cuba and now plays for the U.S., won last year's "Torneo Magistral de Ajedrez" and seemed determined to defend his title.

Dominguez, World Blitz Champion 2008 and currently number six in the world's rapid ranking list, won the first three games of the match, the fourth and final game ended in a draw.

But the Women's World Champion did not hide, and also played to win, which led to some lively games in which, however, Dominguez usually had the better end.
