Elisabeth Pähtz on the novelties in the Candidates

3/24/2020 – The first six rounds of the Candidates Tournament in Yekaterinburg brought a number of opening duels and saw a number of interesting novelties. On her new YouTube channel Elisabeth Pähtz takes a closer look at these novelties and their theoretical value.

Over 1,100 special theoretical databases, 180 new opening surveys, a large number revised — in total 6,680 surveys — and over 38,000 illustrative games.

Recently Elisabeth Pähtz decided to share her chess knowledge on YouTube. In a video about the first rounds of the Candidates she explores how well the players in Yekaterinburg were prepared and which novelties were uncorked.
