WIM Svitlana Demchenko, born 2003, is a Ukrainian-born Canadian chess player. She is a multiple-time Canadian Girls Champion and a two-time North American Girls Champion in different age categories.
Svitlana has been a member of the Canadian Women’s Olympiad Team since 2018, and has represented Canada at the Women’s World Cup.
The medical student has her own show together with co-host Arne Kaehler, which is called "Svitlana's Smart Moves". The popular chess series is moving towards episode 100 soon.
Furthermore, the Canadian WIM produced a couple of Fritztrainers for ChessBase. Especially her DVD about the material imbalances is beneficial because of her game against Fritz 19.
