TePe Sigeman & Co tournament

5/9/2019 – The traditional Sigeman & Co tournament starts today in Malmö with a very interesting cast. Swedish Grandmasters Tiger Hillarp Persson and Nils Grandelius meet Pentala Harikrishna, Nihal Sarin, Gawain Jones, Parham Magsoodloo, Ivan Saric and Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu. Round 7

The traditional Sigeman & Co tournament will be held in Malmö from May 3rd to 9th 2019. The tournament was held at the Hipp Theatre for 20 years (1998-2018), but for the 25th edition has moved to the Malmö Live Concert Hall. Organizer of the tournament is the Limhamns SK.

Eight players compete against each other in a round-robin (seven rounds). The two Swedish grandmasters Nils Grandelius and Tiger Hillarp Persson meet six strong international grandmasters, including two promising talents. Pentala Harikrishna, Gawain Jones, Ivan Saric and Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu are all experienced grandmasters and the field is completed by the two young Grandmasters Nihal Sarin and Parham Mogsoodloo.
