adbennet:"However I am sure for the moment all Ukrainians are glad that Putin is no Napoleon."

I do remember that the march of Napoleon to Russia was a little unfortunate? Only 75,000 of the 600,000 men who went to conquer returned to France in November 1812.

Go Ukraine! Putin may or may not be Hitler. However I am sure for the moment all Ukrainians are glad that Putin is no Napoleon.

On the subject of chess, what Mishra is doing is quite exciting. We should be looking for him in the A tournaments in the not too distant future.

Agree with arzi. Many great chess players, past & present, have come from the Ukraine and many are there currently.

The city of St. Louis lifted the mask mandate on March 6th.

To Keith Homeyard, unfortunately the players in Ukraine may not have time to discuss the chess moves. When a man or woman has grown too old he usually wants to hide his/hers head in the sand not to see evil of the world. He/she has already seen so much. Yes, St Louis is so far away of Ukraine, I get your point. Maybe after two weeks and few millions refugees, thousands deaths of the war, we can focus only on chess?
