6/10/2022 – As promised last episode, we wanted to display the beautiful queen sacrifice by Lawrence Trent from the HSK Gm Invitational open. But the main part of today, is the legendary GM Alexander Kotov, which Arne didn't even know about before. The "Kotov Syndrome" is named after the Soviet Grandmaster, and it describes a situation, where you think about an important position for too long, not finding the winning move, and with little time left, make a blunder instead. Probably all of us have been there.

Trent's Tactics

with Lawrence Trent and Arne Kaehler

Lawrence Trent takes us through the world of tactics. In every new episode, he teaches us a new tactical motif, which his co-host Arne Kaehler tries to solve. 

The viewer is encouraged to actively participate in the tactics, stop the video, and try to solve the chess problems on their own.

The second part of "Trent's Tactics" dives straight into the ChessBase training section. Each episode, the two try to solve the tactics, and together with you, the viewer, embark on a long journey to brush up the score.
