Legends & Prodigies, Round 9 - Live!

9/25/2025 – From 17 to 25 September, the closed tournament "Legends and Prodigies" is being held in Madrid, featuring five GMs and five IMs in a generational clash. The event is a single round-robin with a classical time control. Among the participants are Peruvian GM Julio Granda, a legend of Latin American chess, alongside young talents Faustino Oro and Lu Miaoyi. Round 9

The Legends & Prodigies tournament is a single round-robin with a time control of 90 minutes for the game and 30-second increments per move from the start of the game. The venue is Nave Bellver in Madrid, Spain.

The tournament offers a special incentive for the young players: all the participating International Masters, including the prodigies, need 6/9 points to score a Grandmaster norm.
