With startling honesty Caruana even answers very specific questions about preparation, and reveals, for example, that the main variation of his main weapon against 1.e4, the Russian Defence, turned out to be completely lost and was no longer an option.

With regard to the chances Nepomniachtchi has against Carlsen, Caruana points to the very fast play of the challenger, and said that this is unpleasant for every opponent and might also affect Carlsen.

An open and interesting interview that is well-worth watching.
