The 28th European Club Cup 2012 is taking place in Eilat, Israel, as a seven-round
Swiss from October 11 to 18 (no free day). The rounds starts at 15:00
local time. The time controls are 90 minutes for 40 moves plus 30 minutes
for the rest of the game with an increment of 30 seconds per move, starting
from move one. The zero tolerance rule (6.6a of the FIDE Laws of Chess) will
be applied: any player who arrives at the chessboard after the start of the
session loses the game.

Pictorial impressions from Eilat by Vladimir Jagr

Dawn over the half-empty highway from Tel Aviv to Eilat...

All pictures in this report are by Vladimir Jagr,
a native of Brno, who lives in Humpolec. He has been engaged in photography
as an amateur for four years and "catching things through the lens"
has become his great hobby.
Accidentally, three years ago he came to the chess club in Novy Bor and
initiated a cooperation with the club, which has continued until today.
Within two years Vladimir Jagr prepared for the chess server Novy
Bor a number of excellent reports from the chess world that contributed
in no small part to high visitor rate to the server. The best chess players
of the world and the Czech Republic have become the central theme of his
creation. |
