Another draw came after 102 moves in this game. The 50-move rule was applied as Black was trying to win a theoretical drawn position of rook and knight against rook. The game by itself was very interesting. Black had a protected passed pawn on c3 and the position looked very dangerous for White. But at one point Dronavalli created serious threats on the kingside and Black gave up a piece to trade queens and kill White's initiative. A few moves later she was able to recover the material loss thanks to the c3 pawn. 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 c5 3.d5 e6 4.g3 exd5 5.cxd5 d6 6.Nc3 g6 7.Bg2 Bg7 8.Nf3 0-0 9.0-0 Re8 10.a4 a6 11.Bf4 Bg4 12.h3 Bxf3 13.Bxf3 Qe7 14.e4 Nbd7 15.Qd2 Rab8 16.Rae1 b5 17.axb5 axb5 18.b3 Ne5 19.Bg2 Nfd7 20.Bh6 b4 21.Ne2 Bxh6 22.Qxh6 Nf6 23.Qd2 c4 24.Nd4 c3 25.Qd1 Qa7 26.f4 Ned7 27.Kh2 Qc5 28.Nc6 Rbc8 29.e5 Nh5 30.Qg4 Nb6 31.f5 dxe5 32.fxg6 fxg6 33.Nxe5 Qd6 34.Nf7 Qxg3+ 35.Qxg3 Nxg3 36.Rxe8+ Rxe8 37.Kxg3 c2 38.Nh6+ Kg7 39.Ng4 h5 40.Rc1 hxg4 41.Rxc2 gxh3 42.Kxh3 Re3+ 43.Kh2 Rxb3 44.Rc6 Na4 45.Be4 Rb2+ 46.Kh3 Nc3 47.Rxg6+ Kf7 48.Re6 Rd2 49.Bg6+ Kg7 50.Rc6 Nxd5 51.Be4 Nc3 52.Rc4 Re2 53.Rxb4 Nxe4 54.Kg4 Nf6+ 55.Kf5 Rf2+ 56.Rf4 Ra2 57.Rf1 Kf7 58.Ke5 Ra5+ 59.Kd6 Rd5+ 60.Kc6 Rd2 61.Re1 Nd7 62.Kb5 Rd4 63.Re2 Kf6 64.Re8 Ne5 65.Kc5 Rd1 66.Rf8+ Ke7 67.Rh8 Nd7+ 68.Kc4 Ke6 69.Re8+ Kf5 70.Rh8 Nf6 71.Rf8 Ke5 72.Ra8 Rd4+ 73.Kc3 Nd5+ 74.Kc2 Rc4+ 75.Kd3 Rc3+ 76.Kd2 Rh3 77.Ke2 Nc3+ 78.Kd2 Kd4 79.Rd8+ Nd5 80.Ke2 Rh5 81.Kf3 Rg5 82.Ke2 Rf5 83.Rd6 Re5+ 84.Kf3 Re3+ 85.Kf2 Re8 86.Ra6 Rf8+ 87.Kg3 Nc3 88.Kg4 Ke5 89.Ra5+ Ke4 90.Kg5 Rf1 91.Kg6 Nd5 92.Ra8 Rg1+ 93.Kf7 Ke5 94.Re8+ Kf5 95.Re2 Nf4 96.Rf2 Rd1 97.Ke7 Ke5 98.Ra2 Nd5+ 99.Kf7 Rf1+ 100.Kg7 Rg1+ 101.Kf7 Rf1+ 102.Kg7 Rg1+ The defense in in this ending was masterful played, and with no errors or incidents Harika forced a draw with making the 50-move rule to apply. ½–½

The opening of the game between the two rating favorites of the tournament wasn't very promising for White. Black sacrificed a pawn and had a very comfortable play. Koneru managed to trade all the heavy pieces and keep the extra pawn, but Muzychuk had a pair of bishops and enough compensation for the pawn. 1.d4 d5 2.c4 c6 3.Nc3 Nf6 4.e3 e6 5.Nf3 Nbd7 6.Qc2 Bd6 7.Bd3 0-0 8.0-0 e5 9.cxd5 cxd5 10.e4 exd4 11.Nxd5 Nxd5 12.exd5 h6 13.h3 Qf6 14.Rd1 Ne5 15.Nxd4 Nxd3 16.Qxd3 Qe5 17.Nf3 Qh5 18.Re1 Bf5 19.Qe3 Bd7 20.Qb3 Rfe8 21.Bd2 b6 22.Nd4 Re5 23.Rxe5 Qxe5 24.Nf3 Qh5 25.Re1 Re8 26.Rxe8+ Bxe8 27.a3 Qf5 28.Bb4 Qb1+ 29.Ne1 Be5 30.Bc3 Qe4 31.Qd1 Bd6 32.Qf3 Qxf3 33.Nxf3 Kf8 34.Nd4 g6 35.Kf1 Ke7 36.Ke2 Bc5 37.Kd3 Kd6 38.Kc4 a6 39.Bb4 Bxb4 40.axb4 For some reason Muzychuk preferred f6 and after instead of 40...b5+ 41.Kd3 Kxd5 41.b5 a5 42.Ne2 Bf7 43.Nc3 Ke5 44.g3 g5 45.f4+ gxf4 46.gxf4+ Kxf4 47.Na4 White won the game. f5 48.Nxb6 Ke4 49.Kc5 f4 50.d6 f3 51.d7 f2 52.d8Q f1Q 53.Qd4+ Kf5 54.Nd7 Qc1+ 55.Kd6 1–0
