It is forbidden to use engines or software to analyse the starting position, or to consult with anyone outside the game. However, players may discuss the starting position with each other.

The time control is 20 minutes per player per game, with an increment of 5 seconds from the first move (G/20+5). The total prize money is $150,000 (one hundred and fifty thousand US dollars).
