Top 16 in Guingamp

Report by Dominique Primel

In the final set on 3-6 June 2010, in the stadium of the French soccer club En Anant de Guingamp in Britanny, there was great suspense in the last round, with a match between the teams' leaders Evry and Chalons En Champagne. In an amazing way, Evry with four players rated above 2700 could not beat Chalons, and now Chalons En Champagne is the new champion. It was the last formula with 16 teams – next year the French league will be the "top 12" in 11 rounds
