
The 16th Corsica Masters took place from October 28th to 31st. The Open Tournament
was followed by the first three rounds of a knockout phase, which all took place
in Bastia. The final between Etienne Bacrot, rated 2705, and Laurent Fressinet,
2702, was played in Ajaccio.
