Your personal chess trainer. Your toughest opponent. Your strongest ally.
FRITZ 20 is more than just a chess engine – it is a training revolution for ambitious players and professionals. Whether you are taking your first steps into the world of serious chess training, or already playing at tournament level, FRITZ 20 will help you train more efficiently, intelligently and individually than ever before.

Since 2002 - and with the exception of the year 2014 - the Aeroflot Open, named after its sponsor, the Aeroflot Airline, has taken place every year. The A-group in which you can only play if you have an Elo-rating of at least 2549 is one of the world's strongest open tournaments. Players with a lower rating can start in group B or in group C. Strong players are attracted to the Aeroflot Open because the winner of the A-group does not only win the prize-money but also qualifies for the Sparkassen Chess-Meeting in Dortmund. This helped strong grandmasters such as Viktor Bologan, Baadur Jobava or Ian Nepomniachtchi to get an invitation to Dortmund. Last year, Evgeniy Najer qualified for the grandmaster tournament in Dortmund.

In 2017 the chess festival takes place from 20th February (arrival) to 3rd March (departure). Apart from the open tournaments a blitz tournament will be played on 2nd March. This is the 15th edition of the Aeroflot Open and it offers a total prize-fund of no less than 120,000 Euros. The tournament venue is the Cosmos Hotel, with 1,700 rooms one of the biggest hotels in Moscow.
