Round 7
The TePe Sigeman & Co tournament has been held in Malmö every year since 1993. It was only cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic.
The tournament is being played as a single round-robin with a time control of 90 minutes for 40 moves followed by 30 minutes for the remaining moves and 30-second increments from the first move. Draw agreements are not allowed before the 40th move.

Rounds 1-6: May 20 to May 25 at 15.00 CEST
Round 7: May 26 at 12:00 CEST (three hours earlier than usual)

2/28/2025 – Boris Spassky, the tenth World Chess Champion, was a chess prodigy who became a grandmaster at the young age of 18. He won the World Chess Championship in 1969, and held the title until 1972, when he lost to Bobby Fischer in the famous "Match of the Century". Boris passed on Thursday at the age of 88.
