The ongoing corona pandemic still makes it difficult to play over-the-board tournaments, and this year's French Blitz Team Championship also moved online, to the Playchess server, host of a number of individual and team tournaments.
The preliminaries of the French Blitz Team Championship were played on Saturday, the final will follow on the next weekend. The event attracted a number of grandmasters, and one of them was ChessBase author Christian Bauer, who scored 10½/12 and helped helped his team Nizza to qualify for the finals.
In the following nice game against "Nikam", aka GM Igor Efimov, Bauer won with a straightforward attack against the enemy king.
