The Accelerated London with 2.Bf4

The Accelerated London System with 2.Bf4 offers some dynamic new possibilities for White that have been hitherto little explored. Amongst them is a new and dangerous way of meeting the King’s Indian formation with 1.d4 Nf6 2.Bf4 g6 3.Nc3!?. On this DVD Nigel Davies explores these fascinating plans which give the London System a lot of bite and offer scope for creativity. It’s little surprise that top Grandmasters such as Grischuk, Ponomariov and Grachev have been experimenting with these exciting new methods of play.

Henrik Danielsen

Pressing straight away - The London System 1.d4 d5 2.Bf4

If you are looking for a new attacking plan against the popular Queen’s Gambit, then this download is for you. Completely new ideas after 1.d4 d5 2.Bf4 turn the solid London system into a serious weapon. New approaches and Fritz analyses will catch out an unprepared opponent. Henrik Danielsen used this system to win the Icelandic blitz championship in 2011. Some strong GMs and IMs didn't realise the danger before it was too late. Even after Black’s best defence White will be able to fight for an advantage. After watching 60 minutes you have a total opening plan against the Queen’s Gambit.

Simon Williams

Simon Williams

He also has a lot of experience commentating about chess including at high-class open tournaments like, Gibraltar and Reykjavik and his own live streams. Williams is the author of numerous chess books. His first book, 'Play the Classical Dutch' was voted, in New in Chess, as one of the top 10 chess books of all time. His playing style is very aggressive, preferring attacking chess to positional grinds, which is one reason why he is perfect for DVDs on the Kings Gambit and Amazing Moves! He has a few impressive personal results, including wins over Magnus Carlsen and Boris Gelfand (just after he was in the World Championship).  Two of his students finished 3rd and 5th in the World Junior Championships.
