Yesterday was the first round of the Spanish Team Championships and there were some cracking games. Will take a look at a GM scalp by Pablo Almagro in the first round, which featured a devastating attacking display.

I will also talk briefly about Pal Benko and his legacy. The warm-up for today is from Benko, but I'm afraid I don't know the year:
