Magnus Carlsen had an excellent run in the blitz section to win the event. The Superbet Rapid & Blitz Poland is the second stage of the 2023 Grand Chess Tour. The tournament features rapid and blitz chess.

A single round-robin, rapid event will take place on May 21-23, with a time control of 25 minutes plus 10-second increments. A double round-robin, blitz event will follow on May 24-25, with a time control of 5 minutes plus 2-second increments

The event features a prize fund that amounts to $175,000, with $40,000 reserved for the winner. Grand Chess Tour points will also be awarded.
