From Friday to Sunday the Saint Louis Chess Club organizes a Chess 960 tournament, here called "Chess 9LX". Ten players will compete, including the four best US Grandmasters, two World Champions, three top Grandmasters and Alireza Firouzja, the world's best junior. The tournament is played as an online tournament on Lichess.
The tournament is played according to the rules of Chess 960 at rapid time controls (20+10).

The games will begin daily from September 11 to 13 at 1 p.m. CDT (8 p.m. CEST) with expert commentary by Yasser Seirawan and Maurice Ashley and Jennifer Shahade. Viewers can watch live on uschesschamps.com or on YouTube or on the Twitch channel of the St. Chess Club.
The prize fund is 150,000 USD.
