Quarterfinals: Nakamura v. Nepomniachtchi

Each Match of the SCC Main Event consists of three timed "Segments", each consisting of continuous games and alternating colours at a specified time control. The Semifinals, Consolation, and Final will be FIDE-rated for both the 5+1 and 3+1 segments.

Rounds of 16 and Quarterfinals

  • Segment 1: 75 minutes of Games (5+1 time control)
  • Segment 2: 50 minutes of Games (3+1 time control)
  • Segment 3: 25 minutes of Games (1+1 time control)

Semifinals and Final

  • Segment 1: 90 minutes of Games (5+1 time control)
  • Segment 2: 60 minutes of Games (3+1 time control)
  • Segment 3: 30 minutes of Games (1+1 time control)
