Last week I was coaching the Netherlands 1 team at the World Youth Olympiad in Eindhoven. My student, 15-year-old Arthur de Winter (who has recently also become an IM!), used a beautiful opening trap in the Archangelsk Variation of the Ruy Lopez to secure the silver medal on board 2. I'll have a look at his crushing victory in the final round and show some other nice attacking games in this line.

Robert is an International Master who mostly spends his time training and coaching talented youngsters.
