This video course offers you a complete, clear repertoire for Black against the moves 1.Nf3 and 1.c4. The recommended variations are easy to learn and not difficult to remember, but also pose White serious challenges.

Two very interesting games featuring the Slow Slav (4.e3 Bf5) were played this week. In the high-profile game between Vincent Keymer and Arjun Erigaisi, White got a very promising position in a setup with kings castled on opposite sides, but missed one or two interesting chances to generate a dangerous attack. I'll show you some thematic ideas which would have improved White's play.

In the second game between Manuel Petrosyan and Eduardo Iturrizaga, Black decided to postpone castling kingside and in fact never got a chance to do so, as White played very energetically by opening the centre. White found a brutal way to finish off the game!

Exercise: White to play. How to proceed?

Feel free to move the pieces on the live diagram!
