In a sharp middlegame with opposite castled kings Black seemed to be perfectly in control thanks to its dominance in the centre. The extra central pawn, bishop pair, half open b-file etc. Black's position seemed very comfortable out of the opening. Still, the position remained quite tricky in some lines everything depends on just a single tempo. Nguyen played very convincingly and converted his advantage with excellent calculation. A true modelgame!."
