Robert Ris: "I take a look at a spectacular game played at the GM Round Robin event during the Limburg Open. In the game Schoppen–De Boer, the players entered an old line of the Flohr–Mikenas System (1.c4 Nf6 2.Nc3 e6 3.e4 c5), in which White sacrifices a pawn for quick development and long-term compensation, aided by the bishop pair.
With 16.g4!?, White sacrificed another pawn to broaden the battlefield on the kingside, after which Black quickly collapsed.
Exercise: White to move - can you see the killer sequence?
