New: Trent's Tactics - Back-rank checkmate

by Arne Kaehler
10/15/2021 – Our beloved IM from London returns, but not with the "News Review" show. Lawrence's "Trent's Tactics" is teaching us about the world of tactics. In this episode, Lawrence will show us different tactics about the back-rank mate. And even though we know the motif now, some of the examples which Lawrence picked are still very challenging! In the last ten minutes, we start from basically "zero" and raise the rating to over 2000, in the ChessBase training section.

Trent's Tactics

with Lawrence Trent and Arne Kaehler

Lawrence Trent takes us through the world of tactics. Every new episode, he is teaching us a new tactical motif, which his co-host Arne Kaehler tries to solve.

The viewer is encouraged to actively participate in the tactics, stop the video, and try to solve the chess problems on their own.

The second part of "Trent's Tactics" dives straight into the ChessBase training section. Each episode, the two try to solve the tactics, and together with you, the viewer, embark on a long journey to brush up the score.

The ChessBase News Review Banner still shines in the background, but only for the first part of this episode.

Don't forget: The bottom-right corner of the board indicates the colour to move!
