The 25-year-old Indian Aravindh Chithambaram has climbed the world rankings in recent years, somewhat in the slipstream of his famous compatriots Gukesh, Praggnanandhaa, and Erigaisi. He currently ranks 12th in the FIDE rating list (May 2025) with an Elo rating of 2749. With spectacular games, Aravindh now achieved a convincing tournament victory at the Prague Chess Festival (see pages 6 and 7).
