The city of Fuling in the Chongqing district of central China is currently hosting the Chinese Team Championships, a 12-team round-robin event. Matches are played on five boards, including a women's board and a junior board.

In round 7 Ju Wenjun played a nice miniature against Ding Yixin.

Some of China's best players take part in the team championship. Yu Yangyi and Li Chao play for Beijing, Wang Hao leads the team of Shenzhen Pengchengkulan and Bu Xiangzhi is the first board of Chongqing Ticai while Wei Yi, currently China's number one ahead of World Champion Ding Liren, supports Jiangshu.

After eight rounds Hangzhou leads with 13 points. However, the tournament is very competitive and all of the 12 teams suffered at least one loss.
