5/23/2022 – The second tournament of the Grand Chess Tour 2022 took place in Warsaw from May 17-23, and consisted of a rapid and a blitz tournament. Jan-Krzysztof Duda won the event after collecting 6½/9 points on the final day of action to overcome long-time sole leader Vishy Anand in the standings table. Anand and Levon Aronian finished in shared second place.

4/13/2022 – The Grand Chess Tour (GCT) has confirmed the seven wildcard players for the Superbet Chess Classic Romania and the Superbet Rapid & Blitz Poland, which will take place from 4 May to 14 May. The first leg of the GCT, the Superbet Chess Classic Romania will include all nine full tour players and one wildcard player, Romanian Grandmaster Bogdan-Daniel Deac.
