1/28/2019 – One of the most popular side-events of the Gibraltar Chess Festival is the evening "masterclass", in which top stars are invited to give a moderated lecture from the live webcast studio. It's a relaxed atmosphere and a lot of fun, but also instructive. This year's guests have been Hikaru Nakamura, Sarasadat Khademalsharieh and — on Monday evening — Indian GM Adhiban Baskaran.
On this DVD a team of experts gets to the bottom of Kasparov's play. In over 8 hours of video running time the authors Rogozenko, Marin, Reeh and Müller cast light on four important aspects of Kasparov's play: opening, strategy, tactics and endgame.
In this video course, kings will play a role of strong and active pieces. We will explore how Kings can be helpful in defence and prophylaxis, or even in attack!

There's a wealth of entertaining and education video coming out of Gibraltar, and one of the returning traditions in 2019 is the "Masterclass" series, where players from the Masters group are invited for a Q&A and a look at one or more career highlights in front of a live audience.
This year's featured "Masters" are former US Champion Hikaru Nakamura, Iranian IM Sarasadat Khademalsharieh, and Indian number four Adhiban Baskaran.
Nakamura and Khademalsharieh are available on-demand, below. Adhiban's was the most recent, held on Monday evening in Gibraltar, following Round 7.
On this DVD a team of experts looks closely at the secrets of Karpov's games. In more than 7 hours of video, the authors examine four essential aspects of Karpov's superb play.
