In a Ruy Lopez Anand took a lots of risks by exposing his king to a dangerous attack and finally liquidated in time-trouble into a lost endgame. After their peaceful draw Etienne Bacrot and Markus Ragger still lead with 4.5/5 each but they were joined by the Indians Pentala Harikrishna and Abhijeet Gupta.
Pentala Harikrishna won with Black against P. Sethuraman to join the leaders.
