Winning starts with what you know
The new version 18 offers completely new possibilities for chess training and analysis: playing style analysis, search for strategic themes, access to 6 billion Lichess games, player preparation by matching Lichess games, download Chess.com games with built-in API, built-in cloud engine and much more.
Recently former FIDE world champion Rustam Kasimdzhanov was in the ChessBase office in Hamburg. We recorded his first encounter with ChessBase Online on an iPod. Above our chief developer and CEO Matthias Wüllenweber switches it on and searches for "Kasim".
Rustam is fascinated by the almost instantaneous access – faster than from your hard disk. And by the statistics, alternate moves, success rated, etc. that is displayed for any position. And by the fact that the database is updated with the latest games played all over the world – on a weekly basis.
On the iPhone you have instant access to the 4½ million games wherever you are. The reason the retrival of games and statistics is so fast is that the full database is indexed, so that no searches need to be performed (it's like Google, except that they index the entire web).
The controls are clear and simple – typical Apple app style
Of course the iPad give you everything on a much larger display, making it easier to input moves on the board and generally view the games, lists and statistics.

Apple users will have no problem with this: you simply go to the App Store and search for "ChessBase". The purchase will set you back all of 3.99 Euros – or the equivalent in your local currency.
Downloading the app takes just a few minutes, and the program is automatically
installed
You can also go to the iTunes app store using this link. Go get it now. ChessBase Online is a work in progress and will be updated regularly.
