The first ever female Advanced Chess match
The first female advanced chess match in the chess history between Ukrainian
chess players Anna Ushenina and Olena Boytsun will be held on April 2, 2013
in Kyiv, Ukraine, at the Radisson Blu Hotel (22, Yaroslaviv Val Str.).

Advanced Chess is a fusion of creative chess play and up-to-date computer
technologies. The chess players are allowed to consult any computer program
to analyse their position and making decisions about their next moves. Thus,
the game is blunder-free and the quality of the game is higher, although
the chess players are still in full control of their moves.

The event is organized by the Ukrainian Charity Foundation «Chess
for Children» in order to popularize the game of chess and to establish
an award named after Evgeniy Sozonov for talented children within the charity
programme of the UCF «Chess for Children». The major tasks of
the programme are the development of the sport of chess, the popularization
of a healthy way of living among the young in Ukraine, as well as providing
support to talented young chess players. The purpose of the match is to
demonstrate for young chess players all the advantages that one can get
combining good education with the usage of the computer technologies to
fulfil their dreams.
The time control of the game will be 30 minutes + 5 seconds. Agenda on
April 2nd, 2013:
11.00 – opening ceremony, press conference
11.30 – 12.30 – chess match
12.30 – closing ceremony
There will be a coffee break during the event. A tablet computer with a
pre-installed chess program will be raffled amongst the guests of the event.
Admission is free.
The Ukrainian Charity Foundation “Chess for Children”
was founded in November 2012 by WIM Olena Boytsun. The primary purpose
of the Fund activity is to discover the potential of every child by
engaging children into playing chess and by promoting chess in society.

The players

GM Anna Ushenina – professional chess player, member
of the Ukrainian Women's National Team. Current rating 2477. Born and lives
in Kharkiv. Main professional achievements:
- March 2013 – world champion as a member of the Ukrainian women
national chess team (Astana, Kazakhstan);
- 2012 – FIDE world champion (Khanty-Mansiysk, Russian Federation);
bronze winner of the World Women’s Chess Olympiad (Istanbul, Turkey);
- 2008 – silver winner of the World Women’s Chess Olympiad
as a member of the Ukrainian national chess team (Dresden, Germany);
- 2008 - bronze winner of the European Women’s Chess Championship;
- 2007 – bronze winner as a member of the Ukrainian women national
chess team, first prize on the 3rd board of the European Women’s
Chess Team Championship;
- 2006 – Olympic Champion as a member of the Ukrainian women chess
team at the Chess Olympiad (Turin, Italy).
Anna Ushenina was awarded the Princess Olga State Order of III and II merits
for her professional achievements by the Ukrainian President.

WIM Olena Boytsun – International economist, Researcher
at the World Economy and International Relations Institute of the National
Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Current rating 2264. Born in Dnipropetrovsk,
lives in Kyiv. Main professional achievements:
- 2012 – Founder of the UCF «Chess for Children». The
major mission of the Foundation’s activity is to discover the potential
of every child through engaging children into a game of chess and to promote
chess in society;
- Since 2010 – representative of Ukraine to the European Chess
Union and FIDE; Head of the International Cooperation Commission of the
Ukrainian Chess Federation;
- 2011 – gets a title of FIDE International Organizer;
- 2010 – Research Scholar by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce
of China (Beijing, China);
- 2009 – author of the fiction book «In Oxford»;
- Since 2008 – Member of the Board of the Association of Chess
Professionals, Councillor of the FIDE Events Commission;
- 2006 – Chevening Research Scholar at the Oxford University (Oxford,
UK);
- 1994-1998 - Winner and prize-holder at youth chess competitions in
Ukraine.
Olena Boytsun was awarded with the Princess Olga State Order of III merit
for her professional achievements by the President of Ukraine.
