Exclusive World Blitz videos

by Albert Silver
10/22/2015 – Last weekend you may have been like us, avidly watching the World Blitz games either on Playchess for the complete experience, or via the live video. The problem with the video was that it only ever showed one single board, almost always Carlsen. Fair enough, but that meant a lot of great players and games missed. Not so! Pascal Simon brings many exclusive videos and analysis.

Introduction to the blitz videos

Grischuk - Bocharov

Three-time World Blitz champion, and winner in 2015, Alexander Grischuk plays against Bocharov.
Though recorded in high dfinition, the camera was held overhead to watch, so occasional bumping
can cause the slight shakes seen at times.

Both Tomashevsky and Kasimdzhanov arrived at the World Championships with blitz ratings under

Svidler - Radjabov

Svidler arrived at the World Rapid and Blitz fresh from his fantastic performance at the World Cup, and
showed his form as he finished near the top here as well. Radjabov on the other hand had come in third
in the World Rapid just a couple of days before.

An amazing draw by Moiseenko and Mamedyarov, not to be missed
