3/28/2018 – The European Individual Championship 2018 is an 11 round Swiss open, played in Batumi, Georgia and hosted by the Georgian Chess Federation, under the auspices of the European Chess Union. Round 11

Games are played daily from Saturday, March 17th to Wednesday, March 28th, except for one rest day on Friday, March 23rd. All rounds start at 15:00 local time in Batumi (12:00 CET / 13:00 CEST from March 25th — note the time change due to Summer time!), except for the last round which starts at 11:00 local time (9:00 CEST).

The first prize is 20,000 euros, from a total prize fund of €100,000 but at least as important are the 23 qualification spots to the 2019 World Cup, to be held in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia.
