Press release
Chessboxers from all over the world meet in London this weekend to find out who is the smartest and strongest chess player. A St. Patrick's Day outfit is recommended for the event and there will also be a beer to celebrate the best chess boxers.
Chessboxing is the ultimate test of brains and brawn and always delivers a very special evening. On Saturday there will be an excellent line-up of fighters and entertainers in London, including new faces and established stars of the chessboxing scene. The organizers return to the roots in the "Dome" in Tufnell Park, which means that there are only a limited number of places.
Chessboxing is a wild mix of two of mankind's oldest sporting obsessions. The opponents fight in alternate rounds on the chess board and in the ring in chess and boxing until there is a winner by checkmate or knockout, whichever comes first.
Chessboxing has been described as both a nerd fight and the ultimate sporting challenge of the 21st century. This sporty comparison offers every spectator an unforgettable evening.
